In search of Raoul Wallenberg’s fate

Raoul Wallenberg is a Holocaust hero who saved tens of thousands of Jews during the World War II. Together with his family members, the Team 29 is seeking for access to FSB documents that could shed light on his fate.

On September 18, 2017 the court decided in the FSB’s favor and refused to provide access to the documents due to an absurd reason: protection of personal secrets of other prisoners whose data may be contained in the prison interrogation registers requested. We contested the refusal.

On February 20, 2018 the court examined our appeal and rejected our demands once more under a far-fetched pretext that disclosure of information on Wallenberg’s cellmates could damage their living descendants. We will continue contesting of the information access denial in higher court instances.
